"Underwater Fantasy" |
I seem to be hooked on acrylic and negative
painting these days. Here is my latest done spontaneously apart from
drawing one leaf shape to start. I should pay more attention to the
composition, but creating all these seaweed shapes was so much fun!
This is 12"x 12" on a flat Ampersand Claybord panel.
Gorgeous, Christiane - I see an underwater butterfly in there!
ReplyDeleteHi, Pat. It is so nice to hear from you! I am very pleased that you like this painting.
DeleteMy daughter also saw a butterfly in this painting...since it is a "fantasy, I suppose it could be a swimming butterfly:-)

Wow. Water is the winner here. Moving water. Wow.

I suddenly feel like going snorkelling! Awesome job Christiane. Very nicely done. It would appear acrylic is suiting you beautifully and your enthusiasm is evident in your work. Hope your summer is going along well with many happy hours of painting. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteHi, Ross. I hope you know how to swim:-)
DeleteI am glad that you like this new type of work. I am feeling very enthusiastic about them.
My summer is going well, but between taking my elderly mother for medical appointments and spending enjoyable time with several dear house guests, there has been very little time for painting.
I hope you were safe during those awful floods in Alberta.
Swim? Yes, even in my in-laws basement the past few weeks. :) But all are well and no casualties. The city is returning to normal. Sorry you are not finding enough time to paint. Summers can go that way, can't they? I see your work is really taking off in new directions Christiane. How exciting that is. Perhaps you will find time to paint again soon. By for now.
ReplyDeleteI am relieved that there were no casualties. What strange weather patterns we are going through!
DeleteHopefully, I will be soon returning to a nice little routine. I am really excited about trying out new things in both the watercolour and the acrylics.
Take care and I hope that the rest of your summer will be fantastic!
Thank you so much Christiane! I hope weather will be good and inspiring for your art too! Happy painting!
