Great Show Opening


My two-women art show, Two Friends, Two Artists started last week with the official opening reception on Sunday afternoon. The turnout for the reception was great and in the past week I have sold 6 paintings....how happier could I be? My strawberry paintings, including the varnished watercolors, are now all gone...I will do my best to paint one more for next week end:-)
Here is a varnished painting that sold before I had time to even put it on my blog; the colorful reference was from WetCanvas.

    Kathryn and Cora, thank you! The painting sold were among my smaller ones, but nevertheless, it is great motivation to paint more!
    We did a fair amount of publicity for this show and my friends were most supportive.

    Oat, Rhonda, Doris and Ross: thank you so much! The show continues tomorrow through Sunday. I am indeed thrilled and, as Ross mentioned, found a renewed motivation to paint. My shoulder is starting to feel much better, so I worked hard this week: I have prepared 4 more gallery wood panels for my future smaller paintings; I have sketched a new mascarone ( 16" X 16"), painted a new strawberry painting and touched up an older painting that needed a little boost:-)

    So happy to hear that your show has gone well,Christiane...sorry to have been AWOL for the last few weeks. I'm not surprised at your berries selling first...everybody loves strawberries and cherries and yours are especially wonderful. Congratulations!!
