I have worked a bit more on the lace portion of this painting. I think I am trying to postpone the moment when I have to put some red paint on those tomatoes:-)
However, I soon will have a lot more time for painting....Here is my big news: I announced at work today that I was going to resign and retire as of 30th November... On Dec 1st, I can become a full-time watercolor artist:-)
Very big news! Wish you all the success in the world xx
ReplyDeleteWOW! I hope this new stage of your life is going to be great!! And can't wait to see that red start to peep into those cherry tomatoes :)

ReplyDeleteI'm wishing you all the best, and I think you'll love be retired. I do. Can't wait to see the red coming in.
Fantastic - you will never look back and every moment will be fun spent thinking, planning and creating your wonderful artwork. As for the lacework there is only one word 'stunning'.
ReplyDeleteGreat for you - best wishes - and will look forward to lots more artwork being posted beginning December 2 (LOL!)
ReplyDeletePpat, Rhonda,Nora, Joan and Deb: thank you for your good wishes. I feel great about my decision- after two months of trying to make up my mind.
ReplyDeleteDeb: no pressure, I see (LOL)
Joan: I am glad you like the lace so far
Nora and Rhonda: the red scares me...but I will get it started soon :-)
Christiane...congratulations!!! You'll never know how in the world you had time to work and do everything else you love. And, just think of all the painting you'll do. Remember...red is good...so just jump in there.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mollie! I can't wait to have time to paint without feeling guilty. As for the red, I wish you were here to put it in for me...you are so good at it!
ReplyDeleteYou painting is looking great and congrats on the upcoming retirement!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Vicki. I had not planned on retiring for another 2-4 years, but I simply could not see myself accepting the position that I was being offered as a result of a massive reorganization in my department. If in six months from now I need the money or am bored, I will look for something else...Somehow, I don`t think that I will be bored:-)
