Yesterday, I received a most stunning gift in the mail: "Gardenia", an original watercolor painting by Vicki Green that I won through one of Vicki's regular give aways. You can see a picture of that painting in my post of July 16th. You really have to touch this painting to fully appreciate it: Vicki has attached it to a gallery wrap canvas and then varnished it. This finishing means that the watercolor does not need to be framed under glass! This painting is already proudly displayed on one of my walls, beside a wonderful painting I won in Rhonda Carpenter's giveaway a few months ago. I have started quite the collection:-)
An added treat treat yesterday in the beautifully-wrapped parcel was the note card below, Ocean Swim, from an original watercolor painting by Vicki.
Thank you, Vicki. I will treasure these.
Christiane, you have excellent karma, which shows in your winning these blogger give-aways :) But I already knew you would have - you are such a delightful person to "know" online!
ReplyDeleteRhonda, you are really too sweet. And I enjoy knowing you online!
ReplyDeleteChristiane, what a lovely gift and note card. Congratulations also on the sale of one of your Berry paintings. Your paintings looked great hanging on the grid for the art show. Would love to see one of your florals in real life. :)
ReplyDeleteI am so happy that you like the giveaway and card. Thank you for sharing on your blog! Blessings...... Don't forget, tomorrow is a new giveaway!
ReplyDeleteAnn, I am glad that I sold one of the berries: although the show was fun and I sold some note cards, it would have been disappointing if I had not sold at least one painting...albeit a small one. I think that only about 6-7 paintings sold all that weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment about my florals...yours are so beautiful!
Vicki, I love what you sent me! I'm afraid you may start getting hundreds and hundreds of people entering your giveaways...one of the best artistic deals on the internet! Thank you again.
ReplyDeleteChristiane...you really hit the jackpot with this painting and the beautiful card. As Rhonda states - you must have great karma. If I couldn't win it I am happy you did! :(
ReplyDeleteBarb, thank you for stopping by. Vicki has another giveaway today or tomorrow...try your luck...and karma:-)
ReplyDeleteYou are on a roll! Selling your painting and winning one! Vicki does beautiful work, congrats on winning her giveaway (I always try but so far, no luck for me!)
ReplyDeleteYour post about sales is also interesting - wish there was magic formula for that one! It's always so sad that people will buy "art" from Wal-mart but freak out about a price for an original!
Hi and thank you, Deb!
ReplyDeleteYour comment about Walmart is so true:-)
Christiane you are very lucky to possess such lovely pieces. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteAren't they lovely? Such generosity from our fellow bloggers.
ReplyDeleteChistiane, congratulations on winning a lovely painting and Vicki's card is beautiful. I was very interested to catch up with news about your shows. Getting yourself out there is definitely a way to promote sales.
ReplyDeleteThanks, too, for keeping up with my blog at a time when I've been traveling, having guests, and coordinating workshops, leaving me little time to mingle with blog friends.
Your work is so lovely -- good luck with the sales and I appreciated your discussion on how to sell your work.
Mary, I always enjoy your blog and it was great following your trip in Northern Europe - that is not a part of Europe that I know.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the continued support.
