Red Bubble Feature, final version and thank you!

Wow! The Red Bubble people are so supportive. Within minutes of posting my latest version of my Fuschias ( Garden Ballerinas), my painting was featured in one of the most respected groups of Red Bubble: Just Watercolours

Here is the final version of this painting: I followed your suggestion and toned down some of the highlights in order to focus more on the left bud.  I also darkened the two horizontal stems that distracted me and painted them dark reddish brown, as suggested by Rhonda.
Thank you all for your fresh eyes, support and friendship!

  9. Ross, retirement is soooooooooo busy! However, it is nice to be able to paint every day...it is much easier to keep one's focus. I will probably do another floral, next, but with more color!

Rhonda, I really appreciated your suggestions for this painting. I do like the title, do...more interesting than just Floral # 33 :-)

  12. Congratulations, Christiane...the painting well deserves the recognition. Your colors are so fresh...really a beautiful painting...keep it up. Do you have anything on the drawing board right now? (Don't mean to be a slave driver...but...you're retired...gotta keep going here!).

  13. Thank you,Mollie...I need to be kept in line:-) I do have 2 projects that I am procrastinating over: a clematis that will be quite a challenge, I think; I also have a commission that I may accept - it is for a poured, posterized portrait ( I have done only one of these in the past and I am a bit unsure how this one would turn out...I suppose that the only way of finding out is to try:-)
