Sold at Opening Reception of the Holiday Fundraising Art Sale

My highly textured " Happy Dance of The Weeping Tree" sold last night at the opening reception of the Ottawa School of Art (OSA) Holiday Fundraising Art Sale. After I bring in a replacement piece for this one, I will have three more paintings in this exciting show. The funds raised from this sale go toward the Ottawa School of Art’s bursary programs to provide free art classes and materials, while maintaining their high standard of instruction.

The downtown campus of the OSA is located at 35 George Street, Ottawa.

  1. Congrats on the sale and for donating your work to this fund raiser. You must be busy creating more paintings; keep up the good work!

    1. Thank you, Deb. Artists donate a portion of the sale price to the School, not the entire amount. It is indeed a good cause. I sell all year round through their boutique art gallery and they deserve the support!
I have been neglecting my blog lately because I am so busy: curating three different small galleries, joining two new galleries, trying to produce enough work for my six different shows in December. Yikes! As you well know, the days really are not long enough for artists:-)

  3. Nicely done Christiane. What a great way to get your art in the public eye and benefit a worthwhile cause as well. Nice to see you back in blogger land. I have been absent for a while too. Hope you are doing well and happily painting more fabulous works.

  4. Hi, Ross. I have been spending more time on Facebook than on the blog for some reason even though the Blog seems more "permanent" somehow. There are just not enough hours in the day to do it all :-)
I am working on a watercolor commission and all the rest is acrylic...I am not sure how fabulous the work is, but I am enjoying the process.
I wish you all the best for this holiday season...and I am looking forward to seeing more of your great work. Take care and thank you as always for your much appreciated support.

    1. Thank you, Rhonda. I have to admit that the texture on this painting are very pronounced and sensual.
I hope that all is well with you. Take care.
